Personal narrative!
In 2009, our 45th year after leaving LHS, I'm still
"back East," living near Philadelphia. Dan and I will celebrate being
married 43 years in August. I've had many careers including owning and
operating a weekly newspaper, serving as school tax collector, achieving a law
degree while working as investor relations and communications director at a
steel company, acting as COO of a high tech company, marketing and
administrative director at a local hospital and now work as chief management
officer for the local county government. Just can't figure out what I want to
be when I grow up! We have two grown sons, one lives near us and has 3 children
and the other lives in Salt Lake City and has 2 children.
A Loveland memory
from 1950/60 era!
I have great memories of working on Raspy's foiled
campaign to become president of the student body. One of the best was the great
idea someone had (was that you, Rich?) to write on multiple rolls of toilet
paper, "Have a wipe on Raspy." There were so many good things about
Loveland that I remember: the Pet and Doll Parade when we were very young, the
fun of being at the fairground for the annual "fair," the joy of
living in a small town during the 50s and 60s. I still smile at my first car, a
1954 Mercury, with the passenger door that fell off when opened -- so everyone
had to get out on the driver side. It was very funny when we all (Peggy
Malchow, Linda Mogenson, Marji Speece) went to Denver and had to lift the door
back onto the car.
